Program Overview
The Women's Resource is excited to be partnering with The University of Houston's Community Health Workers Initiative. The Community Health Worker program is a free 18-week course for women seeking to support their communities and make a difference. Upon program completion, participants will receive a Texas State Community Health Worker Certification, hands-on experience, and the skills to secure employment. Eligibility & Requirements
- requires high school diploma or equivalency
- requires authorization to work
Must identify as a woman or nonbinary; must have access to Wi-Fi and a computer; must have access to reliable transportation; Must have reliable childcare, if applicable; must be able to commit about 10 hrs/ week for this course.
